I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and was taught early the value of real estate as my parents owned several rental properties. We would have family work days to keep up the yards, paint and clean the apartments, to get ready for new tenants. Years later, as a newly married couple, my husband and I made our first real estate purchase. It was then the "real estate bug" bit me! I was inspired by my newly discovered use of "leverage" in purchasing real estate. With no money down, we had purchased an adorable bungalow for $130K with a mother-in-law apartment in the basement! We were not only new homeowners, but landlords as well -- and after collecting rents, our portion of the mortgage payment was only $300/mo. It seemed too good to be true! So I thought, why not try it again, and again, and again . . . During the next 10 years we moved 11 times, I quit my "day job" and went full time investor. We acquired dozens of rental properties, and began to work on "fixer uppers". It wasn't long before my income exceeded that of my husband's as a software developer. I was passionate about real estate, and began to take on bigger and bigger projects! I soon learned how to tile, sheetrock, install a toilet, and change out an electrical switch. I had a crew of help, and worked right along side them as we would tackle all types of home renovation. The creative process, and eye for possibility came alive in me, very much like the words of Donald Trump . . . "It's tangible, it's solid, it's beautiful. It's artistic, from my standpoint, and I just love real estate!" Naturally, my involvement in the real estate industry led to my becoming a real estate agent. Though I am still personally involved in my own investments, my greatest joy now is working with buyers, sellers, and investors in Idaho and Utah. Whether it is a personal residence purchase, a weekend reservation at one of our McCall Vacation Cabins, or finding that next great investment before it gets snatched up by someone else -- I am passionate about being a Realtor! And 14 years of personal experience in the industry now affords me the ability to give my clients premium service. When making one of the biggest investments of your life, it doesn't hurt having a seasoned investor in your corner. But enough about me. . . Let's go buy a some real estate!
